Go ahead, find love this V-Day

Single this Valentine's Day? Here's how to prepare yourself to attract love...
It's the month dedicated to love and lovers. But if you're one among those who is facing the prospects of spending this day all alone and consequently, upset that you are not able to find love, help's at hand. Here we tell you about some of the things you can do to attract love to yourself.

Practice your dating skills
Like most other skills, dating, too, requires practice. No one is born an expert in relationships and it's quite a "work in progress" situation. Hence, this Valentine's Day, list out the things you consider important for the success of a relationship — patience, kindness, compassion, etc. — and try to implement them in your everyday life.

Learn from past mistakes
Why is it that you're single this Valentine's Day? This is an important question that one needs to ask themselves, especially if you were in a committed relationship just a year ago. If there is anything about you or any habits that you know a potential partner will dislike, work on changing them.

Get out into the dating ring
The only way to get a partner is to actually put yourself out there and make it known that you are single and looking out to mingle. Keep hesitation aside and strike up a conversation with that someone you've always had a crush on or even an absolute stranger. Initiate conversations with a smile, with some positive comment about his/her clothes, hairstyle, shoes or anything that catches your attention about him/her.
Be mentally prepared
Yes, relationships take a lot of effort and hard work and it's very important to be mentally prepared to be in one. Forget the clichéd notions or versions of love and chart your own course. Just because one way worked for your best friend, doesn't mean it will work for you too. But you need to be open to the idea of finding love and accepting your partner for the person that he/she really is, flaws included.

Locate a good 'partner hunting' spot
As much as we'd like to believe in those mushy love movies and romantic books, the chances of a potential partner materializing from thin air are close to zero. Your best bet then is to locate a good spot where you are most likely to bump into plenty of new and interesting people. Be a regular at places like coffee shops, bookstores, gyms, restaurants, etc. You're bound to find someone who catches your fancy and also shares some common likes. However, at all times, be yourself to get yourself true love.
